Equipment Repairs - We offer replacement of broken components or parts (power supply, modem, video card, etc.) We can diagnose and repair problems caused by viruses, spyware and other installed software.
Setup/Installation - We can set up your PC system or relocate one if you are moving. We can also set up your home or office internet service.
Upgrades - We can install a larger or second hard drive or CD drive, increased memory (BEST OPTION FOR IMPROVED PC OPERATION) and software installation. We use several software programs that are free to the user to help control costs. There are some great free ANTI-SPY WARE and ANTI-VIRUS programs that are just as effective as the high priced ones. All of the major chain stores will install software they will charge you for, and you will have to keep paying every year to get the updates.
Training - We offer low cost training either in our office or in your home. Do you need to know how to save files create folders, copy a CD or copy your important pictures to a CD? Looking to replace or buy a newer PC or laptop? A small training session or seminar will often meet your needs for many of these common tasks.
Consulting - If you are unsure of what PC to buy, don't make a costly mistake. We can help you pick out a PC that is right for your needs by advising you on what to shop for.
Note about Printers
Computer Helpers generally does not repair desk jet printers, as the cost (parts & labor) is more than the cost of replacing the actual unit. This holds true for most printers today even many laser jet printers. Warranty prices have reached a point where the cost is almost half the price of the printer. Also the purchase of replacement parts is an issue for many units. HP and Lexmark are generally the easiest to get parts for their laser jet printers. Laser Jets have come down so far in price that they pay for themselves in money saved over buying ink cartridges. Feel free to contact us to get more information.
